Informa’s acquisition of IIR in 2005, brought together two complimentary businesses that were, in their own right, both global leaders in financial conferences.
In the field of taxation, IIR was the leading provider of corporate taxation training, conferences and seminars. In turn, IBC led the way in the provision of updates for personal taxation, trusts, wealth management, family office and other private client tax work
IIR is the undisputed market leader in both training and conferences in the fields of accounting and financial management, internal audit, risk management and counter fraud work. IIR organises the longest running IFRS training programmes and the biggest IFRS conferences in Europe.
In the finance arena, IBC delivered cutting-edge updates in the areas of corporate & institutional debt, investment management, alternative investment and banking operations. IIR’s expertise was more focused on corporate finance, insurance & reinsurance, private equity and retail finance.
Many events (Trans-Trusts, IACON, MultiPensions, Export Credit etc.) have more than a 20 year history and are automatic ‘must attend’ diary entries for professionals working in their respective fields. As such, the twin brands of IIR and IBC continue alongside that of the parent, Informa.
When you attend an IIR/IBC conference you will benefit from a thoroughly-researched programme, delivered by leading experts in the field, and an event structure that offers the invaluable opportunity to network with event participants. We offer a range of event formats; encompassing summer schools for in-depth training, update conferences, strategic forums to examine new approaches and workshops to focus in on hot topics and complex issues. We also offer distance learning programmes that lead to post-graduate, professional qualification.
IIR/IBC also produces events on behalf of external associations and institutes, e.g. IASB, ICAEW, IRM, IEBA, PwC amongst many others.
